Ken highlights that we are less than 50 days away from Invictus Games 2016 in Orlando, Florida at the ESPN Wide World of Sports and Walt Disney World® Resort.
Noteworthy, the mission of the Games is to use the power of sport to inspire recovery, support rehabilitation and generate a wider understanding and respect of all those who serve their country as well as their families and caregivers. Each of the service men and women participating in the the Games have shown strength in times of adversity and have used adaptive sports to further their recovery.
Ken shares, “I’m very excited for the Games to kick-off on May 8th and I encourage you all out there to join me, Prince Harry and First Lady Michelle Obama as we support our competitors. Specifically, there are two asks I have for you:
• First, I want to encourage every one of you to attend the Games. Fans go online at Invictusgames2016.org and buy their tickets before they sell out. This inspirational event is not one to be missed.
• Second, I need your help in lifting up our competitors’ stories. One of the core missions of the Invictus Games is to use the power of sport to inspire recovery, support rehabilitation and generate a wider understanding and respect of all those who serve their country as well as their families and caregivers. They deserve the recognition and thanks of a grateful nation.”
