Match Update– Archery – May 9, 2016
Archery at Invictus Games Orlando 2016, presented by Jaguar Land Rover, is about to reach fever point at ESPN’s Wide World of Sports Complex on Monday, May 9, 2016.
As the sun set on the first day of the Games the archers lined up for the final after tough preliminary rounds whittling 111 competitors down to six in the individual and six nations in the team event.
The Archery teams and individuals will have to hold their focus in what has been rowdy arena during nail-biting qualifying rounds if they are to win one of the six medals up for grabs. Franck Gibot of France exclaimed his excitement to be in his first Invictus Games finals:
“It is amazing what the Invictus Games has done for us, we are truly humbled to be part of this experience and to share the same path again with fellow servicemen and women from around the world that we fought alongside and now share the road to triumph, to be Invictus.”
Franck and his team will battle out for bronze in the Open Compound category against the UK. Watch all the action this evening on ESPN3 by clicking here:
