Video – I Remember Featuring Retired US Army Staff Sergeant Tim Payne
Watch a powerful Invictus Games 2016 video featuring Retired U.S. Army Staff Sergeant Tim Payne. In this video, Staff Sergeant Payne can be seen swimming and training for Invictus Games 2016 at ESPN Wide World of Sports and Walt Disney World Resort. In the video, he remarks:
“I don’t remember the hours and days that I spent in surgery. I don’t remember getting my Purple Heart. There is a lot I don’t’ remember. But what I do remember, I remember what it meant to swim again. I remember Ben Houston, Billy, Wilson, Jonathan Coken and soldiers and friends who can only be remembered. I remember why I can’t be conquered. Why I won’t be defeated. Why I am Invictus.’
In a United States Army profile post, he highlights: “I’ve gone through so much to get to the mentality that I have now. It’s all been given to me by the man upstairs because he wants me to do good; he wants everybody to do good. I’m just paying it forward.”
