President George W. Bush and Ken Fisher to meet with Wounded Warriors for Announcement about Invictus Games 2016 Orlando
The George W. Bush Presidential Center announced on Tuesday, December 1st:
“President Bush and Fisher will also make an important announcement about the Bush Institute’s role in the 2016 Games in helping to overcome the visible and invisible wounds of war. The event will be held at the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum in New York Harbor.”
Attendees will “will watch a demonstration of sitting volleyball before meeting with wounded warrior and veteran competitors who are training in hopes of representing their countries at the Invictus Games Orlando 2016 presented by Jaguar Land Rover. Sitting volleyball will be one of the 10 adaptive sports to be featured next May at the second Invictus Games, a weeklong multisport competition between wounded warriors from 15 countries.”
The event, taking place at 2:30 p.m. EST – 3:30 p.m. EST will feature President George W. Bush, Ken Fisher – Invictus Games 2016 Chairman and CEO, Dr. James P. Kelly, MD – Clinical Professor of Neurology at the University of Colorado and former Director of the National Intrepid Center of Excellence and the Invictus Games 2016 Aspiring Competitors.
